Just two hours drive from Cape Town you can experience the reality of a Big 5 Game Reserve. This means that you do not have to change accommodations to see the Big 5. ( Big 5 - Lion, Rhino, Elephant, Leopard, Buffalo) You have choices of day and overnight Safaris.

 

Since the 4-star Aquila Private Game Reserve was founded, its ethos and that of our team of dedicated staff, has always been to educate guests on the importance of wildlife conservation, how it affects us all and what we as individuals can do to protect it and indeed the environment.

 

Aquila is not yet another luxury game reserve and lodge, its primary purpose is to offer an educational experience to all who visit in the hope that knowledge will enrich our understanding of the importance of living in harmony with Mother Nature.

 

Over the years, Aquila Private Game Reserve has gone to massive efforts and expense to source and re-introduce wildlife into the Cape region so that local residents and visitors alike can benefit from same and we are therefore proud to offer our visitors an opportunity to experience a Big 5 Safari.'

Travel to a Aquila Private Game Reserve. Buffet breakfast or lunch depending on which game drive you are booked. Open vehicle game drive with opportunity to view giraffe, lion, leopard, zebra, rhino, wildebeest & many other wildlife types and San Bushman rock art.

 

Itinerary 

- Pick Up between: 05h00-05h45

 

- 08h00: Buffet Breakfast

 

- 09h00–11h00: Open vehicle game drive to view 

big 5: Lion, elephant, buffalo, rhino, leopard. Also giraffe,

hippo, zebra and wildebeest as well as San Bushman 

rock art.

 

- 11h45: depart Aquila

 

- Return to Cape Town approximately 14h00

 

DAILY TOURS: Three departures per day: early morning, mid morning or late morning.
